Hey Beauty, the new year is right around the corner; the time most are inclined to see a new & improved version of themselves. Have you set any personal goals? If so, keep reading to learn how to stay on track to not only plan but achieve your goals for the new year to come!
Goal: the object of a person's ambition or effort; an aim or desired result. (sourced from Google)
In order to see the results of a goal you must act. There is nowhere in the world that you can sit still & get anywhere except the same spot. Your goals are fueled by ambition, the thirst & hunger to reach new ceilings is there but it is up to you to prove you actually want to begin the reach. Instant gratification & impatience is the enemy of the human being. All too often people want results immediately ESPECIALLY in this day & age, it isn’t realistic though. Things take time, require resilience, persistence and quite often assistance. I don’t suggest setting any goal that you don’t care to have those qualities for because you will more likely than not, remain still. Before you write any goals down, answer this question: are you ready to act?
Action: the fact or process of doing something, typically to achieve an aim. (from our good friend Google)
Just do it, don’t think. All the thinking is best done when it comes to the planning but action is only about doing. Action typically is the reason most people never see themselves change even though they had the ambition to see change. To see change through we must first accept change without fear or hesitation. Change requires courage, faith & trust. To be, without those essential building blocks acting is highly unlikely. It's in your nature to freeze in fear, if it isn’t perceived as safe. To stay within familiar places doesn’t take away the uncomfortability, however. You set the goal to be in a different place, not to remain still. Just do it, don’t think.
Overthinking: think about (something) too much or for too long. (You know where its from)
Get out of your head. Common practice is to get lost in our minds, to think about all the imaginary outcomes that you deeply desire or fear. It is important to think, God blessed us with extraordinary brains. To think too much is a trap though. To be lost in thought is another way to end up standing still. Thoughts are endless, again the brain is extraordinary. But, do not abuse yourself with thought. Gain control over your thought process, organize it as best you can to plan & set, then give action the right of way.
Dig deeper.
Goals are more than just wanting or manifesting. Those are all in the mind. It takes well roundedness to really get moving though. When setting goals this year I challenge you to set them in multiple facets in life: physically, mentally & spiritually. Taking a holistic approach with your goals helps each goal assist another automatically. If your mental state is improved you will likely have an improved spiritual & physical state. You all are multifaceted beings, it takes balance to maintain yourself. Without balance, you may improve one area with the others failing making the improvements unsustainable.
Faith: 1. complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
2. strong belief in God, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.
Have some faith. Belief is the catalyst to taking the first step towards any destination. As people we were not gifted with the ability to see or know the future, our gift is faith. What good is setting a goal you never believe you will achieve? Keep your faith over negative feelings. Step out on faith, trust God & rely on Him to get you to the place that will be best for you. Don’t fear the unknown, lean into it & see where it takes you.
Focus: pay particular attention to.
Absolutely necessary, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Focus is crucial to reach a target or you’ll miss. Another year will pass without you fulfilling your aspirations without it. If focus is applying attention & the attention is diverted, who will tend to your goal in your place? There is no one who will care about where you want to go more than you do, act accordingly. Hone in on what you desire & give it all your attention.
System: a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized framework or method.
Lastly, any great ship sails by a system. There is no way growth can be consistent without a system in place. For example, if your goal is to lose weight this upcoming year a basic system would be becoming conscientious of your nutrition & physical activity. The two play on each other by burning fat & calories to = weight loss. The system is set but if one doesn’t hold themselves to the procedure of a weight loss system, results are inconsistent or worse non-existent. The same goes for any goal you have set in place. That goal is nothing without a system in place. Create your system & stick to it, I believe in you 💓.
Stay committed, beauty.
Happy New Year <3.
